[am-ja] noun

uncle / sir (but informal)

DT: father’s brother

Turkish has no gender differentiations in grammar which makes things simple for a number of reasons, however they love to genderize everyone all the time. If you present masculine and look much older than the speaker they might call you amca. It is used on its own to address a stranger or following their first name if you know them informally.
